With Painter you can produce art that mimics designs created with traditional tools. With the integration of the multiple floating selection capabilities of PainterX2, Painter 3 makes it easy to combine multiple images into your designs. And Painter's prodigious "cloning" capabilities make it easy to turn photographs into artwork using any of Painter's brushes and tools.
Painter 3 contains new artistic and production features that will wow you. This version incorporates more than 50 new features and improvements. The first thing you'll notice is our new drawer-based interface that makes it easy to access your tools and art material.
New color adjustment and selection controls enhance Painter's ability to manipulate photographs; improved color sets and faster brushes increase the program's Natural-Media capabilities. In Painter 3, Fractal Design introduces the Image Hose, an incredible new tool that literally allows you to "paint" with "reality." This version of Painter is non-saving, non-printing demo software, that contains a subset of the art materials that ship with Painter (paper textures, gradations, weaves, paths, floaters, etc). Also included are 2 image hose nozzles. Load these into the program by choosing IMAGE HOSE:LOAD NOZZLE from the TOOLS menu. Select CLOVER or SPLAT from the Open File dialog. Then choose the Image Hose brush from the brushes palette to "paint with reality."
